Watertop Farm has grown into an activity based attraction, as opposed to the traditional zoo-like open farms. We have a range of activities on the farm, all of which can be seen below
Assault Course
A professionally created low-ropes assault course suitable for all the family. Contains many different obstacles to really test your stamina. Hidden in our small forest it makes for a real adventure!
Boating
Rowing boats aound a small lake area. The boats vary in size, with the smaller holding 3 people, and the larger holding 5. Life-jackets are supplied for all children.

Museum
Our Museum is home to a large collection of traditional Irish farming equipment and utensils. There is also a warm fire and furniture from the good old days to rest your legs. In here you can feel what farming in Ireland used to be.
Paddiwagon
A spectacular ride aboard an ex army 4×4 truck. The Paddi Wagon farm tour offers fantastic views and an incredible ride around part of the farm through the cattle and sheep. During the tour you will hear many interesting facts and stories about the farm itself, and the surrounding area of the north east coast of Ireland.

Play Areas
We have a small children’s play area beside the Teahouse with a collection of fun toys. There are also swings in other areas of the farm.
Pony Trekking
Guided Horse treks around the farm mostly on gravel tracks. Suitable for children above 6 years old. Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult. The main trek lasts approximately half an hour and is ideal for all ages.This mini trek gives fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. We also offer a 1 hour trek that is ideal for those who have ridden before or would like longer in the saddle!
We can also offer a 1hour trek for the more experienced which is a bit more cross country and a faster pace! (age 14 +This must be pre booked and only operates with sufficient numbers)

Quad Train
A new addition to the farm is our thrilling Quad Train. Powered by our Honda Fourtrax quad, the seven dwarf’s (Sneezy, Sleepy, Dopey, Doc, Happy, Bashful and Grumpy) are pulled around our off road course. Fun for all ages.

Sheep Shearing
During the summer months the sheep on the farm require shearing. Visit our regular shearing demo’s ( when available) to watch a sheep being shorn and learn about the wool process and sheep farming.
Small Animals
The small animal house is home to a collection of playful farm animals. Puppies, Piglets, Lambs, Rabbits and Chicks.
Teahouse and Shop
Our shop has a wide selection of souvenirs and sweets for both children and adults alike. We also have a catered restaurant/tea room for breakfast and lunch and snacks.
Walks
Watertop is set in a beautiful area, and what better way to see it than to enjoy some of our scenic walks. The waterfall walk will take you through the trees and along the river from which the farm draws its name, as it rises to the surface only a few miles away.
During summer when the leaves are out and the sun is shining you can stop to enjoy the beautiful views on one of our many benches along the walks.
